Filling out cover art forms is always stressful for me.
Despite the fact I’m a writer and use words to convey thoughts all the time, I
still get those words wrong. When I’m trying to explain my vision for a cover
to someone who doesn’t know me, hasn’t read my manuscript and has his or her
own ideas, no matter how clear I may think I’m being, a lot can get lost in
translation.
So I was thrilled to receive this cover for my upcoming
book!
And here’s the approved blurb:
Dan Rothberg
struggled after an accident killed his wife and he nearly lost custody of his
daughter. He can no longer allow himself to get attached to anything or anyone.
Until he meets Hannah.
Hannah Cohen
is a young executive with a meddlesome grandmother and a troubled brother.
She’d like nothing better than to find her own Mr. Right, after too many Mr.
Wrongs. A sexy older man with a teenage daughter was never in her plans.
As they
navigate their relationship through adolescent attitudes and grandmotherly
interference, they realize age is just a number and love can be right in front
of them. But when the terrible truth of Dan’s former struggles is exposed,
Hannah must decide if she can get past his deception and allow love to conquer
all.
Now all I need
is a release date!
The cover is perfect, Jen! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting!
Have you finished the edits?
When is the release date?
Hi, Ana. Thank you! I love it as well. I've finished the major edits, galleys are next. I'll get a release date at that point.
DeleteLovely cover and interesting blurb!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Paula!
DeleteWow! Things are moving quickly! Love the cover...who's your artist?
ReplyDeleteI love this stage of a book's process...so, so very close...each step is more exciting than the last. A cover always makes things feel the most 'real' to me. I think it's the visual aspect of it.
Congrats again, Jen!
Thanks so much, Deb. RJ did it. I love this stage too.
