I can't decide...

Do I want more winter?

7 inches of new snow on top of the two feet of snow pack we've been trudging through for months. More snow is forecast for this week.

Snow is moisture, which is life-giving, but it's April 15. (Tax day, but that's another story.) Usually the earth has been thawed by now. Snow has been solidified rain, but more insulation on still-frozen ground.

Our snow plow guy has made his first pass down and back our driveway. I'll be able to get to work.

Do I wish for another snow day?

You betcha. I'm not as far along as I wanted on my edit of my timetravel romance. Trenches of self-doubt and rocky peaks of high ideals have slowed me down. But I am persevering and have greater clarity now than ever before on how to make the story work.

Like this winter, it refuses to go away.

  1. I think Mother Nature must be menopausal, in this neck-of-the-woods, anyway. Seven months of winter, is way too much! Love this blog. Nice post!

  2. I'm so glad our winters don't last as long as yours, Ana! We did have a very cold March, but with a bitter east wind, not snow! Now at least spring is here. We we have a beautiful sunny day here today. Too nice to be sitting in front a computer actually!

  3. Great parallel, Ana. And I'm glad to see you're still working on your time travel. We've definitely got spring here, although being NJ, a freak snow storm wouldn't surprise me.

  4. Yikes, Ana! That's a lot of snow...and more to come. And to think I've been grumpy about the cold temperatures that are lingering.

It sounds like you have a good attitude about it and are making the best of it! :)
